In January 2012, Intact Media Group‘ s TV division continued to rise, recovering a major part of the difference which separated them from Central European Media TV stations, was published in a press release this week. Thus, Intact Media Group’s TV stations are growing on all time slots and are becoming leaders on the Whole Day (2:00-26:00 time slot), Access prime time (4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. time slot), Day Time (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. time slot) and Late Fringe (23:00-26:00).
CME is losing viewers on all time slots, compared with the same month last year, and also the title of absolute leader. Intact Media Group TV stations growth is especially noticeable taking into account that Antena 2 was not retransmitted by RCS-RDS to the large public and that GSP TV was reintroduced by the same company with high difficulties at the beginning of January.
As can be seen in the following charts, Intact Media Group surpassed its main competitor with 2.2 market share points on Whole Day, and in Day Time, the difference was 7.6% in favor of Intact Media Group. In fact, Antena 3 was leader on the 10:00 am- 04:00 pm time slot, surpassing not only the news channels but also the mainstream TV stations.
In Access, the „gateway” entry to prime time and time slot when Observator 16 and ‘Acces Direct’ with Simona Gherghe are scheduled , Intact Media Group’s TV stations are audience leaders, surpassing with 2 points market share CME, whereas last year, there were three points difference in favor of CME.
In Late Fringe, time slot when Antena 1 broadcasts Observatorul de noapte and Un show pacatos, and Antena 3 airs In gura presei si Stiri, Intact Media Group were also number one, with 2.7 market share points compared with its main competitor. Last year CME had 2 rating points ahead Intact.
